Individual & small group yoga classes


I taught yoga for a number of years in Mellieha, Malta but I came back home to Halifax, Nova Scotia on the East Coast of Canada in August of 2019, and I’m currently teaching a Tuesday evening class at the Fort Massey United Church on the corner of Queen and Tobin streets.


Although I don’t teach yoga in Mellieha anymore, all is not lost: for private and small group yoga lessons you can email Sharon Azzopardi or find her on her Yoga n’ massage bil-qalb Facebook page. She’s wonderful!

Whether you come to yoga, or, as is often the case, yoga comes to you, to relieve pain, reduce stress, improve your physical fitness, find balance or to quiet your mind, your journey will be safer, more focused and productive with a basic understanding that’s tailored to where you are and where you’d like to go with your practise. The best way to do that is with one-to-one or small class training.

The challenge to the teacher is to craft sequences that give students an appropriate practise for where they are in their lives, respecting where they are in the experience of parinamavada (continual transformation).

After all, no matter whether you participate in classes at a studio, gym or hotel in Mellieha, your yoga practise is, and will always be, for every moment and every breath, with another or a thousand other yogis, an exercise in discovering your own space.

It is good to have an end to journey toward but it is the journey that matters in the end.
